Our South African Marinade is the best for Sosatie, a traditional South African dish of meat. Sweet and sour with unique spice blends, Sosaties are one of the great braai (barbecue) foods of South Africa and a hallmark of Cape Malay cuisine. Sosatie recipes vary regionally, but commonly the ingredients can include cubes of lamb, beef, chicken, dried apricots, red onions and mixed peppers.
Suggested dosage/usage: As our Premium Marinades are concentrated blends, usage will be 40 to 50 grams per kg or as appropriate/desired for meat, fish or vegetables. Above dosages are minimum recommendations. Please arrive at appropriate dosages based on your needs and usage. Please use appropriate carrier (i.e. oil/yoghurt/water etc) and allow adequate marination time. This will help the meats and vegetables to soak in the spice blend. Add salt to taste.
